The world rejoices the birth of Lord Jesus on December 25 every year. It is believed that the Lord descended on earth to save his people from "sins". The origin and history of Christmas is assumed to have pagan roots, and it began some 2000 years ago with the birth of Jesus to Virgin Mary and Joseph in a manger.
Christmas celebrations include enacting of the Nativity scene, the Holly and beautifully decorated Christmas trees. People exchange gifts and cards, raise toast together wishing for a happy life and thanking the Lord for what they have. Children await the arrival of Santa Clause on his mighty sledge with that red bag full of joyful gifts! Christmas spreads peace, happiness and goodwill.
Although there is no evidence that Lord Jesus was born on this particular date, historically and traditionally, the world has come to celebrate this joyous moment on this date.
